Johnny holds a master’s degree in European and Eurasian Studies, a bachelor’s degree in Russian and journalism, and a TEFL certificate. Originally from Denver, Colorado, he studied in Columbus, Ohio and later continued his education in Toronto, Canada before moving to New York. He has taught English in Ukraine and Russia.

In class, Johnny brings a strong academic foundation and a genuine passion for language learning. He enjoys helping students build their English skills and gain confidence. Outside the classroom, he enjoys reading, running, and following global news—especially how different countries report world events. Johnny speaks Russian and is always happy to chat about language, international media, or his experience dubbing a Russian detective film into English!
