📌 Which Programs Qualify for the F-1 Visa?

Most of our students apply for an F-1 Student Visa, which allows international students to study full-time in the U.S. To qualify for an F-1 visa, you must enroll in an I-20-eligible program at NYC Global Center—such as our Intensive English Program, TOEFL Preparation Course, and Professional English Course.

📌 What Is the I-20 Form?

The Form I-20, officially called the Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status, is a required document to apply for an F-1 student visa.

After you are accepted into an I-20-eligible program at NYC Global Center, we will issue the I-20 form for you. This form proves that:

  • You are enrolled in a full-time course

  • You have met admission requirements

  • You have the financial means to support your stay in the U.S.

You’ll need the I-20 to:

  • Schedule your visa interview

  • Apply for the F-1 visa

  • Enter the U.S. at the airport

  • Remain in legal student status while you study
