Brigitta knows firsthand what it's like to learn a new language — having moved to New York City nearly 38 years ago, she built her life and career in her non-native language of English.

A lifelong word-lover, Brigitta is always expanding her own vocabulary, brushing up on her native Hungarian, and now tackling Japanese. She also speaks some Spanish.
She holds a BA in Psychology, a TESOL certificate from The New School, and a BPSS certification.

For Brigitta, teaching ESL is about helping students find their voice in a new language and connect with the world around them. Outside the classroom, she's an avid reader, hiker, movie lover, and home cook — and she loves quiet walks through cemeteries. Ask her why!
