Looking Back at 2025: A Year of Shared Moments at NYC Global Center

At NYC Global Center, learning English is just one part of the journey. What truly defines us is the atmosphere we create together.

In 2025, we marked the seasons with small but meaningful moments — Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the holiday season. These events gave our students opportunities to experience American culture while feeling supported in a new city.

Halloween 🎃

Our classrooms came alive with decorations and themed activities. Students practiced English while enjoying complimentary lunch and drinks. They engaged in conversations and shared laughter. For many, it was their first time celebrating Halloween in the U.S., making the experience even more memorable.

We also held a small raffle-style game. Students picked number cards, and we called out random numbers for prize giveaways. The excitement built with each announcement. Winners received small gifts. To make the celebration even more special, we hosted a costume contest. The winner took home a $100 Amazon gift card for an incredible costume.

Thanksgiving 🍂

Thanksgiving gave us space to pause. Students shared what they were grateful for — family, new friendships, personal growth, and the courage to study abroad. In a fast-paced city like New York, that moment of reflection felt important.

The Holiday Season ✨

While we didn’t host a formal Christmas event, the school felt different in December. Simple decorations, soft lights, and a cozy atmosphere reminded everyone that even far from home, you don’t have to feel alone. Sometimes, small details create the strongest sense of belonging.

More Than a Classroom

Student life at NYC Global Center is about connection. It’s about building confidence in English while also building community.

Building Connections

In our classrooms, students come together from diverse backgrounds. This diversity enriches the learning experience. Students share their cultures and traditions, creating a vibrant community.

Personal Growth

Learning a new language is challenging. However, it also fosters personal growth. Students gain confidence as they navigate their new environment. They learn to express themselves in English, which opens doors to new opportunities.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we move into 2026, we’re excited to continue creating a welcoming space. We want students to learn, grow, and feel at home in New York City. If you’re looking for an English school that values both education and community, we’d love to meet you. Feel free to contact us.

In conclusion, our shared moments in 2025 have strengthened our community. We look forward to many more experiences that bring us together.
