About Us

NYC Global Center was established in 2024 by a team of excellent educators. From the beginning, it was clear that a large number of students needed to improve both their spoken and written, English-language skills. To meet this need, NYC made the transition from being a preparatory school to become an institute for English as a Second Language.

NYC Global Center is now located in a newly-renovated, facility in Chelsea, New York, offering a comprehensive program of communicative, English-language courses at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels to serve the needs of English language learners.

ESL educator with experience in France, the U.K., and the U.S. With degrees in History and Art History plus TESOL and BPSS certifications, he brings a global approach.

Certified ESL instructor with 15 years of experience in communication, TOEFL, and Duolingo prep. She holds a Master’s degree and a New York State teaching license.

Jake is the Academic Director at NYC Global Center. He holds a Master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, and supports teachers and students in a caring, well-organized learning environment.

Senior Campus Manager

Jolin

Jolin oversees campus operations, global outreach, and marketing at NYC Global Center. She holds a Master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University and supports students through meaningful learning and connection.

Teaching Assistant

Pareesay

Pareesay holds a BA in Comparative Literature from Cornell University and supports students at NYC Global Center as a Writing Specialist, Teaching Assistant, and Academic Coordinator.
